Designation: Operations Manager
Job profile:
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
1. Oversees operational systems, processes, and infrastructure while looking for opportunities of improvement or revision.
2. Anticipates and tracks operational and tactical risks and providing strategic solutions.
3. Works with sales teams to help set and meet daily and quarterly goals
4. Works closely with Director on other special planning, Layout preparations and other new projects
5. Plays a significant role in long-term planning, project status reporting, and implementing change control processes.
6. Oversees and reports weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual metrics.
7. Raises and tracks issues and conflicts, remove barriers, resolve issues of medium complexity involving stakeholders and escalate to appropriate level when required.
8. Ensuring necessary work instruction, flow of material across the operational area.
9 Co-ordinate for ECN implementation with Engg Team.
10 Global procedure implementation in moulding production process.
11 Daily audit across the shop floor for safety and process are in place
12 Co ordinate to solve the customer complaints and implement the action plans in production line.
13 Ensure the KPI's are set for all departments and monitor the same
14 Perform daily Gemba walks, Involve in Kaizen activities plus administration of rewards program apt for high good kaizens
15 Review Work performance and identify training needs
16 Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required
17 Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department
18 Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
19 keep track of staffing requirements and hire new talent as needed to correspond with specific duties and skill sets
20 Communicate with legal counsel and safety department to ensure all processes remain compliant with PCB, Factory inspectorate and other governmental regulation
21 Raises and tracks issues and conflicts, remove barriers, resolve issues of medium complexity involving stakeholders and escalate to appropriate level when required.
22 Assesses a variety of situations and provide clarity to team and stakeholders.
23 Works closely with management team to ensure all operational, administrative, and compliance functions within the firm are being properly executed in accordance to regulatory-based best practices
24 Motivate and coach the team to operational success, ensure to promote atmosphere allowing them to use best of their skills.
25 Employee interview, monitor and conduct disciplinary methods for all subordinates.
General Responsibilities
1 5S around the entire factory
2 Co-ordinate with entire operation team for improvements
3 Co-ordinate with safety team.
4 Kaizen activities improvement in shop floor.
5 Member in Internal management committee
6 Identifying training needs for subordinates and recommend appropriate training to enhance competency
7 Coordinate with Global Team as and when required
8 Keep abreast with latest technology, practices to meet future challenges
9 Manage any other Tasks/ duties assigned by the Management from time to time.
10 Co- ordination internal team to solve the problems and achieve the targets.
11 Documentation as per global procedure, maintaining and managing the EMS 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 45001 documentations.
Authorities / Control
1. Authorised for invoice, employee's movement for outside work from factory.
2 Moulding, CNC, Stores & Tool Room Control
Special Skills / Knowledge Requirements
Addressing operational concerns and issues, monitoring overall customer satisfaction
Developing and implementing operational procedures and policies
Analysing training needs/requirements
Excellent interpersonal communication and organizing skills to coordinate project activities
Ability to communicate with others effectively
Ability to conduct research for special projects, respond timely inquiries, and present written/ oral briefings
Ability to work with details and time-sensitive issues
Good decision-making skills and response to high-pressure situations
Process control and implementation knowledge in moulding
ERP knowledge
Rejection analysis and action plan implementation knowledge.
Academic / Related Work Experience Requirements
1. Graduate or Diploma in Engineering
2. Min 15 to 18 years experience in plastic moulding manufacturing plant.
Qualification: Dip/BE in Engineering with relevant expereince
Salary: upto 16lacs
