Job Description

Responsibilities

In this role you will wear many hats including driving the definition and delivery of a world class workplace search experience for and IT administrators. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Identify, define, and communicate strategy, vision and mission for the team and ensure team is motivated to deliver new feature ideas, create scenarios that satisfy customer needs, accrue business outcomes and drive future product investments.
  • Establish a great partnership within the triad that includes Design, Development and Product management and ensures the triad is aligned for the experiences we build across the product to deliver on the customer promise of cohesiveness. Create clarity for the triad.
  • Motivate and guide the team to collect and synthesize customer feedback, translate into feature/product requirements, influence other teams drive with the engineering team and influence biz planning on GTM plan.
  • Be the customer advocate - present validate new products and features to customers, assist with onboarding.
  • Work with business planning and marketing teams and find opportunities for growth and revenue for Microsoft Search.
  • Influence scalable solutions that can be applied as a framework for solving multiple scenarios across different partners and customer topologies.
  • Be the evangelist - participate in enterprise conferences and industry events.
  • Establish great relationships internally with partners/stakeholders within Microsoft, and externally with global customers/partners
Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role is a talented and experienced Product Manager with:

  • 12+ years of experience in product management or software engineering leadership.
  • Strong acumen to build and grow people who can perform as world class teams
  • Strong leadership, effective communication skills, great team and cross group collaboration skills
  • Proven track record of delivering large scale enterprise solutions and services with huge business impact and customer first mindset.
  • Familiarity and/or experience in building solutions for IT Admin and user experiences
  • Strong technical acumen to drive design and architecture discussions with engineering teams focusing on end-to-end scenarios.
  • Excellent ability to effectively define product, and functional specifications with strong definition of customer value and business impact while understanding the technical aspects.
  • Excellent analytical, presentation, negotiation, and story-telling skills, and strong communication skills verbal and writing.
  • Strong ability to drive cross-functional teams, partners, and cross-org leadership teams.
  • Experience working efficiently with internationally distributed development teams.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and drive for results.

Preferred qualifications, but not required:

  • Good understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, cloud technologies and developer platforms.
  • Experience building search, user intent understanding, or informational retrieval systems
  • Experience with business planning monetization strategies
  • MBA and/or a graduate degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
