Manager Software Engineering @ Salesforce

Job Description

Responsibilities :

• Work closely with peer engineers from engineering, security, and compliance teams to identify and provide strategic solutions for compliance and application feature gaps.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the organization

• Responsible for technology delivery.

• Hire and mentor team members to build core competencies in architecture, standards development, and recommended practices.
  

Required Skills:

• BS or higher degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

• 3+ years of experience in managing, mentoring, and leading software engineering teams

• 5 years of hands-on software development experience

• Excellent software project management skills

• Understanding of JVM and Java web technologies.

• Experience with AWS, GCP, or other public cloud infrastructures.

• Experience with continuous integration platforms such as Jenkins, Spinnaker, Gitlab CI, etc.

• Experience with microservices design and implementation.

• You re collaborative and team-oriented, willing and able to support a growing and dynamic development team.

• Innovator with good ideas, strong problem-solving abilities, and a results-oriented attitude.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Experience with secret management tooling such as Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or Azure Key Vault.

• Experience with cryptography primitives, authentication such as Single-Sign On, OpenID Connect/OAuth.

• Understanding of CDN (Akamai, Fastly, Cloudflare, etc.) and caching technologies (ElasticCache, Redis, Varnish, etc.).

• Experience with repository/artifact management (Artifactory, Nexus, etc.).

• Understanding of web servers (Apache/Nginx).

• Experience working on large-scale distribution systems where solutions must work for thousands of nodes.
