Job Description

Position : Penetration Testing Engineer

Salary : Open

Work Location : Bangalore

Experience : 2 to 5 Years

Qualification : BE/BTech in computer science or relevant field

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform vulnerability assessments & penetration testing (VAPT) on networks, desktop, Edge, cloud and mobile
• Identify threats, and develop test cases to target identified threats
• Identify and exploit vulnerabilities in products under test
• Carry out remote testing of a client's network or remote testing of their infrastructure to expose weakness in security
• Simulate security breaches to test a system's relative security
• Create reports and recommendations from your findings, including the security issues uncovered and the level of risk
• Identify problems and provide advice on how to minimize risks, methods to fix or lower security risks to systems

Present your findings, risk and conclusions to management and other relevant parties.

• Create a report based upon penetration testing and present it to the customer

Skills and requirements

• Educational Qualification: BE/BTech in computer science or relevant field
• Hands-on experience with testing frameworks such as the PTES (Penetration Testing Execution Standard)
• Experience in Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration testing using industry-standard tools such as Vulnerability Scanners for e.g. Tenable
• Applicable knowledge of Windows client/server, Unix/Linux systems, Mac OS X, VMware/Xen, and cloud technologies

Any IT Security related certificates such as Offensive Security, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) etc

• An in-depth understanding of computer systems and their operation

The ability to think creatively and strategically to penetrate security systems
