Roles and Responsibilities

- Exp: 2 - 6 Yrs.
- Bachelors/Masters in ECE / CS
- Minimum 2 years of experience in L2 software development (PDCP, RLC)
- Understanding of LTE / 5G bearer specs
- Knowledge
- Strong domain knowledge in LTE / 5G NR.
- Should have strong knowledge on 3gpp specs (Rel 10 onwards...)
- Experience in developing PDCP/RLC layer software for wireless communication
- Experience with all phases of SDLC cycle
- Required Skills
- Candidates should have strong experience in 4G / 5G PDCP/RLC and other related aspects.
- Log analysis and strong debugging skills
- C, C++ Knowledge with strong analytical skills
- Enriched experience in overall Access Network is Plus.
- Good Oral and Written Communication Skills.
- Experience in DPDK/ODP/Virtual network nodes is Plus.
MAC Scheduler Algorithm enhancement / System Optimization engineer
Job Purpose: LTE L2 (MAC/RLC) scheduler understanding, analysis and enhancement in LTE/LTE-A commercial networks.
Skills:
- Strong background and working experience in Wireless communication
- Very good in-depth understanding & working knowledge of 3GPP LTE MAC and RLC specifications [36.321 and 36.322]
- Hands on experience on LTE L2 Code, at least proficient in code browsing using C Programming Language
- Good understanding and working knowledge of MAC Scheduling algorithms preferably eNB side
- Fair understanding of LTE Call Signalling Flow, End to End call(like Volte, Data)scenarios, 3GPP specs of LTE RRC/PHY Layer
- Knowledge of LTE-A Technologies like DL/UL CA, DL/UL COMP, NB-IoT, eMTC, UL MU MIMO, Massive MIMO etc is an added advantage
Job Description:
- eNB System optimization by analyzing the performance of eNB through logs and issue identification
- Understanding of eNB L2 (MAC/RLC) Scheduler algorithms for scheduler performance improvement
- Analysis of logs from commercial networks using eNB logs, performance Statistics and UE logs
- Analysis of eNB performance statistics and KPI to identify/narrow down the root cause of the problem
- Co-work with various teams like Algorithm design, PHY/L2/L3 Dev teams for issue resolution
- Segregate the reported problem to configuration issue / DSP SW issue / Algorithm issue (propose solution/enhancement) and provided the final root cause analysis
- Guide/help Testing team to reproduce any field issue scenario in lab environment
- Qualifications: Bachelors/Masters in Electrical or Electronics or Computer Science Engineering
