Roles and Responsibilities

We are hiring for Senior Engineer- Transmission Lines- Power Electrical- (MEP- BI) for India locations.

Position- Senior Engineer- Transmission Lines- Power Electrical- (MEP- BI)

Location- Mumbai/ Kolkata/ Gurgaon/ Bangalore/ Hyderabad

Experience- 4-10 yrs of experience

Qualification- B Tech- Electrical/ Mechanical/ Structural.

PG or Any Training in Transmission Line Design is Preferred.

Specific Experience- Experience in Transmission Line Projects is MUST.

Overhead Lines of EHV level 300 KV and above.

International Experience is Preferred.

Industry- EPC, Infrastructure, Design Consulting

Company- A Reputed Engineering, EPC, Infrastructure Project Management and Design Consulting Group.

About the Role

• The primary role would require you to undertake technical and non-technical activities in the planning, design, and construction of overhead Transmission Lines.
• To support project delivery and business growth in the Transmission Lines practice area.
• Manages Transmission Line project deliverables, scope and schedule within a multi-discipline design project.
• Supports company's virtual teaming strategy including work-sharing and mobility across the business.
• Follows Company's quality assurance and technical review procedures.
• Is responsible for leading preparation of proposals (bids) for design work, providing estimates for Transmission Line project components and coordinating inputs from other disciplines

Job requirement

• Should have a sound understanding of technical fundamentals in the relevant Transmission Lines discipline (Electrical, Mechanical or Structural) and is able to solve engineering problems from first principles for overhead lines up to EHV level (330 kV and above)
• Should have an in-depth understanding of Transmission Line standards including IEC 60826, IS 802, BS 8110
• Prepares conceptual designs for Transmission Line works including relevant supporting design reports
• Prepares detailed design drawings, reports, specifications, bills of materials and other documentation for Transmission Line works
• Injects constructability considerations to positively influence design outcomes
• Reviews contractor design documentation and project implementation schedules and procedures
• Prepares and reviews capital cost estimates
• Can use PLS CADD and PLS CADD/LITE with basic instructions from Senior engineers.
• Can troubleshoot his/her own modelling by using alternate line engineering techniques
