Audio Staff Engineer - Customer Engineering @ Qualcomm

Job Description

General Summary

• Triage and debug the Audio & voice related engineering problems reported by Automotive Customers on standalone Android , AGL and Hypervisor Architecture involving GreenHills or QNX .
• Triage and debug issues related to Audio and Voice in ADSP(application DSP) and help in Open DSP Customization by helping to port 3rd party DSP algorithms in ADSP
• Work closely with technology teams to help root cause complex issue and ensure fix release to Customers in time
• Document application notes for Customers on key features, design
  Customize source code as per customer needs.
  Support teams outside Audio in case of dependencies
• Work hand in hand with Product, Program Management, Technology teams for smooth commercialization
• Understanding of Pulse Audio , Gstreamer , ALSA , Core Sound Drivers etc.
• Need to have strong C, C++ /Java programming skills.
• 11+ years of industry experience in the following:
• Experience with Experience with Audio and Voice
• Debugging complex embedded software systems/applications
• Working knowledge of C/C++
• Understanding of Android Audio Architecture , Audio HAL, Audio flinger , Audio policy Manager, tinyalsa

• Bachelors - Computer Science, Bachelors - Engineering, Bachelors - Information Systems

• 2 years experience with debugging techniques.
• 5 years Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
• 3 years experience with Programming Language such as C, C , Java, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with leadership. ,2 years experience in a customer-facing role. ,8 years Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
