Job Title: AWS Cloud solution architect
Location- Open to Capgemini Locations in India
Experience: 12+ Years
As an AWS Cloud solution architect you will assist in the solutioning, development and modernization of enterprise platform. Solution Architect must be proficient with microservices architecture and container platforms leveraging Kubernetes and Docker containers.
Essential responsibilities include:
- Provide business architecture and systems processing guidance
- Proven experience assessing clients workloads and technology landscape for Cloud suitability, develop business case and Cloud adoption roadmap.
- Assess, Create and implement a business vision and multi-year roadmap
- Create business architecture models that reflect our strategies and goals
- Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive project from architecture standpoint
- Locate ways to reduce costs in IT and business leadership
- Must have expertise in architecting complex systems and integration architecture on cloud native platform
- A thorough understanding of cloud-native architectures, container orchestration, microservices and operational best practices in the cloud.
- Develop architecture blueprints and detailed documentation. Create bill of materials, including required Cloud Services (such as EC2, S3 etc.) and tools;
- Design the overall Virtual Private Cloud VPC environment including server instance, storage instances, subnets, availability zones, etc
- Design the AWS network architecture including VPN connectivity between regions and subnets
- Design the HA / DR strategies
- Collaborate among development teams, product Managers, operations teams and security teams.
- Proven knowledge of AWS platform and tools
- In depth knowledge of key AWS services like EC2, S3 etc.
- Design and enhance the AWS Landing Zone for improved operations and security
- Strong track record of implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments.
- Hands on expertise with container platforms and evangelizing cloud-native architectures
- Experience in infrastructure automation through DevSecOps in Cloud environments and familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Terraform, Ansible.
- Define and evolve conceptual architecture (e.g., data architecture, application architecture, technical architecture).
- Promotes Infrastructure as Code by the usage of Terraform, one touch deployment through robust DevSecOps pipelines.
- Support the development of an evolutionary roadmap aligned with new strategic initiatives
- Hands on expertise in deploying and scaling a Kubernetes container-as-a-service platform
- Deep expertise with AWS EKS and EKS Fargate and/or OpenShift or Pivotal platforms
- Stays up to date with CNCF projects at various stages (Graduated / Incubated / Sandbox)
- Design and integrate Service Discovery and Service Mesh architecture.
- Develop architectural patterns for the Observabilitys three pillars Logs (EFK stack / Splunk), Metrics (Prometheus, Grafana) and Tracing (Opentracing / Jaeger).
- Integrate the policy-based cloud native environments using Open Policy Agent.
- Experience implementing container registries such as Quay across multiple regions
- Experience with Cloud (AWS) security and scalability, container security technologies such as Twistlock or Aqua
- Knowledge in core Cloud (AWS) services, architecture, uses and best practices
- Proficient in developing, deploying and trouble shootingcloud based applications
- Experience with Migrating, building or maintaining cloud-native applications
- Proficiency writing code for serverless applications with AWS Lambda
- Ability to use or interact with Cloud (AWS) services
- In-depth knowledge of at least one programming language stack Java/J2EE and micro service such as Spring Boot
- Ability to use the Cloud (AWS) service APIs, Cloud (AWS) CLI, and SDKs to write applications
- Ability to identify key features of Cloud (AWS) services
- Can act as a technical advisor for Cloud (AWS) related issue/tasks
- Experience in leading the development of complex, distributed systems based on API led Architecture (preferred).
- Understand modern programming languages such as Python programming and concepts such as multi-threading, data intensive applications, no SQL DB's
- Building interactive consumer data from multiple systems and RESTfully abstract to the UI through a Node.js backend
- Knowledge of best practices and market trends pertaining to Cloud and overall industry to provide thought leadership (seminars, whitepapers etc.,) and mentor team to build necessary competency
- Ability to quickly establish credibility and trustworthiness with key stakeholders in client organization.
- Experience provisioning and spinning up AWS Clusters
- Experience to build scalable systems (load balancers, memcached, master/slave architectures)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate Level or Professional (one or more preferred)
