VINIRMA Consulting is currently looking for RISK ANALYST for one of its clients which is a leading Organization in Qatar with the following terms and conditions.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Knowledge & Experience:
Bachelors Degree preferably in Risk / Business Administration or other governance area e.g. audit, accounting andcompliance
At least 6 to 10 years of experience in Risk Management and Insurance
Risk Management certification is preferred, but not essential

Creation of Policies, Procedures & Work Methods Knowledge
Communication Skills and gravitas to deal with audience of all levels
Report Writing & Drafting Skills
Problem solving and able to find practical and proportional solutions

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree preferably in Risk Management / Insurance / Finance/ Business Administration/ Auditing/ Accounting.
Possession of a recognized Professional Certification in Risk Management will be a plus.

Job Summary:

Responsible for providing ongoing operational, technical and administration support to Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) department.
Support the Head of ERM in developing and implementing the Enterprise Risk Management strategy, framework and objectives, including risk assessment and monitoring of annual business plans, to support the functional and organizational business strategy.
Ensure the development and update of the ERM processes, policies and procedures, as well as others for business use e.g. Product Governance that will be used across the business.
Monitoring approved departmental policies, processes, procedures and instructions and monitor adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
Involvement in special projects, deep dives and general troubleshooting, to address both departmental and corporate level gaps and exposures to within appetite.
Support the Head of ERM and coordinate with each department to prepare, maintain and implement Major Risk Policies and reports to comply with Regulatory obligations and requirements.
Prepare, oversee and maintain departments and corporate risk registers based on the risk assessments conducted for all departments. Maintain ongoing contact, to ensure existing/emerging risks are understood.
Involved in Risk Analysis and Mitigation.
Support the preparation of Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA).
Any other duties as assigned by Head of ERM

ROLE PURPOSE:

Responsible for providing ongoing operational, technical and administration support to Organization's Risk Management department. The incumbent is responsible for day to day tasks that support the Head of ERM and AML in managing the ERM framework.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Description

Strategic Contribution
Support the Head of ERM and AML (HRML) in developing and implementing the Enterprise Risk Management(ERM) strategy, framework and objectives, including risk assessment and monitoring of annual business plans, tosupport the functional and organizational business strategy.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

Ensure the development and update of the ERM processes, policies and procedures, as well as others for businessuse e.g. Product Governance, that will be used across the Organization

Production and Maintenance of Risk Registers

Prepare, oversee and maintain departments and corporate risk registers based on the risk assessments conductedfor all Koot Departments. Maintain ongoing contact, to ensure existing/emerging risks are understood
Prepare Corporate Risk Committee (CRC) and Risk Management Working Group (RMWG) Minutes of Meetingand attend meetings as required.
Assist in preparing CRC and RMWG meeting presentation, focussing on salient points for both audiences.
Maintaining risk reports, and trends, risk monitoring dashboard, incident log and reporting from deep dive of top risks.

Risk Analysis and Mitigation

Follow up with each Department on each identified risk and mitigation (s) and report in a timely and periodicmanner.
Understand the root cause analysis, any interdependencies and other key factors, as a basis to suggest continuedimprovements for the business.
Assist the HRML in developing risk response strategies (mitigation plans) for organizational risks.
Coordinate requests for information from external constituents (auditors, regulators).
Attend regulator meetings and deputize for the HRML when needed.

Own Risk and Self-Assessment (ORSA)

Assist external actuary in gathering operational and financial information for both self-risk assessment
exercise and stress testing scenario purposes
Involvement in sense checking both the calculations and draft/final report before distribution.
Assist in arranging opening and closing meetings and lead on agreed actions, as well as on site meetings
and interviews
Maintain a watching brief for any emerging or risks exceeding appetite

Key Performance Indicators:

Risk management elements considered within strategic objectives.
Compliance with operational procedures and instructions.
Timely completion of risk registers for all Departments.
Departments are in line with company's Risk Management Framework.
Timely completion of risk analysis and effective action plans which quantify risk exposure and deliver appropriate mitigating actions, in line with company's Risk Management Framework.
Timely production of periodic and ad-hoc presentations for rating agencies.
Keeping up to date with both regulatory requirements and risk management developments
Continued vigilance for status of existing and new emerging risks within the business
Proactive over a reactive mind-set

FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES, & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY:

The Enterprise Risk Management Analyst reports to the HRML.
The jobholder exercises financial authority as per the level established by company's Management.
Always review Compliance requirements and be Compliant to QCB and other regulations.

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal:

Regular communication with all department managers and Risk Champions.
Capture issues, information, evidence and themes from internal stakeholders for timely assessment and action
