Job Description
:- 3 to 4 years experience on Direct and Indirect tax (GST, Profession Tax) matters with good knowledge on applicability of various taxes to the life insurance sector.
- Ensuring statutory compliance on with respect to tax payment, returns properly and in time
- Assist in all statutory/ tax audits and audits undertaken by Tax departments.
- Responses to tax authorities within the agreed time frame for all notices / queries issued
- Manage all periodic TDS and GST compliances
- Tax accounting, reconciliations and Tax MIS Reporting
- Product testing in core system (Life Asia) for taxation perspective
- Contribute to consistent implementation of the policies, standards and procedures
- Identify areas of process improvements and potential gaps and implement the same and always ensure a robust tax administration process
Desired Candidate Profile :
- Candidate currently working or having prior experience in Life Insurance can only apply for the above position
- Candidate working with consulting CA firms and handling Insurance clients can also apply
- M Com / Inter CA with 3 to 4 year experience in Accounts/Taxation function.
- CA with 2 to 3 years experience.
- Good communication skills
- Good MS office skills (Excel, Word and Power point)
- Good interpersonal skills
- A customer centric approach (customers may be defined as either internal or external)
- Candidate with Non-Life Insurance experience or working with any other industry need not apply
