Job Description
Function as a cross-group program manager for new strategies and initiatives rolling out across documentation and beyond
Develop project plans and work closely with stakeholders to ensure the timely execution of various projects
Apply high attention to detail
Review high-level scoping information and determine initial requirements to support initiatives
Bring clarity out of ambiguity to get to the primary focus and tasks on the initiatives you are facilitating
Demonstrate complex problem-solving skills and negotiation in resolving cross-team challenges
Understand the impact of content and strategic decisions
Report on project and program health and clearly communicate to stakeholders, leaders, and content teams
Document workflows and processes and solicit feedback directly from those impacted
Define, document, and implement end-to-end repeatable processes that help the teams plan, manage, and deliver parallel projects
Define internal planning methodologies and approach guidelines
Communicate project status with team and stakeholders
Participate in other iX-wide initiatives.
Bachelors degree or equivalent industry experience.
5 years of successful experience as a Documentation Program Manager or similar role in a documentation or design team.
3 years of experience leading cross-team projects.
Track record of executing strategic initiatives on time and within budget.
Basic understanding of waterfall and agile development methodologies, including the customer life cycle and knowledge of different content development and publishing systems, tools, and defect tracking systems.
Experience using a work tracking system to create, manage, and report project status; familiarity with version control systems.
Experience working with diverse sets of stakeholders to solve complex problems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present in a clear and concise manner to all levels within the enterprise.
Ability to work effectively with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Understanding of documentation, training, design, and development processes.
Experience working with content strategy.
Understanding of content creation systems.
Experience using problem solving and analytical skills to solve business problems
