Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

To ensure that the OT is clean, set up and ready to take the case.
To arrange trolley and other required equipments as per the case.
To assist the surgeon during the operations.
To ensure that the total count of all instruments is matching before & after the surgery.
To ensure that the patient should reach 30-min before the scheduled time of the operation and counter checking the pre-operative preparations.
To be responsible for preventive maintenance, cleanliness and sterilization of all instruments.
To ensure recovery of all materials used for the operation and inform to the stores & pharmacist
To maintain records and registers of the OT as per hospital policies & procedures.
To be responsible for shifting the patient to recovery room/ ward and handing over in detail to the recovery room/ ward staff regarding surgery performed treatment and anaesthesia given.
To be responsible for post-operative care of the patient in the recovery room.
