Job Description

Cloud Engineer Job Description ( No. of openings: 2) :

Part of a Cloud Governance product team responsible for installing, configuring, automating and monitoring various Cloud Services (IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS)
Be at the forefront of Cloud technology, assisting a global list of customers that consume multiple cloud environments.
Ensure availability of internal & customers' hosts and services thru monitoring, analysing metric trends, investigating alerts.
Explore and implement a broad spectrum of open source technologies.
Help the team/customer to resolve technical issues.
Work closely with development teams for CI/CD pipelines and with QA team for test automation.
Extremely customer focused, flexible to be available on-call for solving critical problems.
Contribute towards the process improvement involving the Product deployments, Cloud Governance & Customer Success.

Skills Required

Minimum 2+ Years of experience with a B.E/B.Tech
Well versed in DevOps technologies, automation, infrastructure orchestration, configuration management and continuous integration
Prior work experience with Cloud domain and cloud based products is a must. (AWS, Azure, VMware, OpenStack)
Exposure to virtualization technologies (XenServer, Hyper-V)
Experience Linux and Windows Administration, server hardening and security compliance
Web and Application Server technologies (e.g. Apache, Nginx, IIS)
DevOps, Orchestration/Configuration Management and Continuous Integration technology (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible etc.)
Good command in at least one scripting language (e.g. Bash, PowerShell, Ruby, Python)
Networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
Experiencing in managing version control platforms (e.g. Git, SVN, TFVC)

Big Data Administrator Job Description (No. of openings: 1):

Responsible for Design, Implementation and On-going Support of Big Data Platforms (Hadoop, Hbase, HIVE, Spark).
Administration and periodic maintenace of multiple big data clusters set-up in AWS/Azure cloud environments.
Own the platform architecture and the reliability, availability, scalability, operations automation and infrastructure optimization.
Mentor Hadoop engineers and administrators, help with troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Meet performance and SLA requirements of the Hadoop clusters
Design metrics and monitor real-time performance of clusters, capacity planning, performance tuning
Evaluate and recommend tools, modelling, configurations etc. for continuous improvement
Respond to outages during business and after-hours. Participates in 24x7 on-call rotation process
Develop scripts and tools to automate common Hadoop administration tasks
Develop and maintain operational best practices for smooth operation of large Hadoop clusters

Skills Required:

2+ Years of experience in deploying and administering secure, multi-tenant Hadoop clusters
Expertise with YARN, Spark, Kafka, Storm, Zookeeper, Hive, Hbase
Understanding of YARN and Spark, Kerberos and Sentry
Sound understanding in Hadoop ecosystem components like HDFS, map-reduce, Spark, Oozie , Zookeeper and Ambari/Cloudera manager
Experience in optimization, capacity planning & architecture of a large multi-tenant cluster
Experience with AWS, Azure cloud environments, setting up secure virtual netwroks, LB, auto-scaling etc.
Expertise with one or more of the following languages: Python, Scala, Java, Ruby and in Shell scripting
Experience with multiple open source tool sets in the Big Data space
Experience in tool Integration, automation, configuration management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving skills
