Job Description
Main Accountabilities:
- Architect cloud security solutions
- Understand and articulate security requirements to other cloud architects so they can produce compliant designs.
- Perform hands-on proofs of concept for security-related technologies, script and interact with cloud resource provider models, and design and author documents, including security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Contribute to Cloud policy documents addressing governance, security, and compliance, and perform application security risk assessments, gap analysis, and remediation plans.
- Lead the creation of framework-based system security plans, such as NIST 800-53 or PCI-DSS
- Organize preparations for system compliance audits and specify and code policy-as-code compliance rules to achieve control requirements
- Understand cryptography and specify appropriate cryptographic configurations to meet requirements and participate in assessment of on-prem apps for cloud migration
- Implement Information Security corporate security policies and procedures
- Research industry best practices and vulnerability risks
- Manage security configurations for applications and cloud infrastructure using templates
- Certify and approve new templates that meet security requirements
- Configure Security Roles and Groups per security requirements
Knowledge and Technical Competencies:
- Experience with security concepts such as data loss prevention (DLP), intrusion detections systems (IDS), identity & access management (IDAM), role-based access controls (RBAC), etc
- Knowledge of potential security vulnerabilities in cloud services
- Extensive experience and knowledge of Policy as Code (PaC) for example OPA, Regula
- Experience configuring and securing containers, networks, and cloud services
- Strong communication skills and project management experience with multiple simultaneous initiatives
- Software design patterns concepts
- Knowledge of IT compliance and risk management (security, privacy, PCI, PII, SOX, etc.)
- Identity management and access management implementation experience
- Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Continuous integration, deployment, and improvement concepts
- Experience in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) concepts and implementation with Terraform
- Cloud provider Landing Zone concepts
- On-premise to cloud platform migration experience
- Design, develop and maintain Policy as Code (PaC) pipeline and scripts
- Excited about trying new solutions

Education/Experience:
Bachelors degree in information technology related areas
Technical certificates are a plus
Minimum 3 years of experience in complex cloud solutions environments
