Senior Software Test Lead Engineer @ NXP Semiconductors

1. Work as an individual contributor in the test team responsible for delivering high quality NXP flagship embedded software products in the JavaCard domain.
2. Understand key feature requirements that may originate from technical standard documents or from internal documents and develop test specifications and test cases for the same.
3. Participate in the development, execution of test cases and analysis of failures on the embedded software product.
4. Participate in the development and maintenance of the test automation framework used to test this product. The framework is developed in Java and a proprietary scripting language. The engineer will be required to understand specific requirements, propose solutions, implement and test the same.
5. Coordinate test execution functions and provide the necessary updates to all project stakeholders as required.

Skill set:
1. 5 - 8 years of work experience.
2. Must have good core Java programming skills.
3. Must be familiar with software testing practice in an embedded environment.
4. Familiarity with usage, development and maintenance of automated test suites and test automation frameworks such as Junit is preferable.
5. Familiarity with source control tools such as SVN is mandatory.
6. Domain knowledge - familiarity with any of the following will be required:
a) Smart card testing with white box exposure to GP standards / Java Card API testing.
7. Good spoken / written communication skills is a must.
