Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Position:Project Manager for Civil Construction Company.
Need to supervise construction site personnel and subcontractors, attend weekly project progress meetings, and monitor compliance with building and safety codes and regulations.
Recommend suitable procedures to control variations and monitor that these are correctly implemented.
Monitor the consultants' work and initiate appropriate action in the event that their work appears unlikely to achieve the Project Brief, together with the Company in-house Project Manager.
Need to be involved in the areas of pre-planning, budgeting, resource allocation, monitoring progress, and worker coordination.
Desired Candidate Profile
He should be detail-oriented, have strong commitment, and be a team leader.
He should also display good decision-making, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities.
Project management and project execution is mandatory.
Need to be involved in the areas of pre-planning, budgeting, resource allocation, monitoring progress, and worker coordination.
undertaking technical and feasibility studies including site investigations
Candidate must have excellent experience in heading the Residential Projects.
Completing project pre-planning processes, such as cost control, planning and budgeting.
Responsibilities of a Civil Engineer
Assess Construction Site Civil engineers have to assess and do a complete feasibility study of the construction site. They have to consider many factors, including the impact on nature and the surrounding environment, and plan accordingly.
Planning the construction Civil engineers have to plan out the whole construction process beforehand. This has to be a systematic process to facilitate the smooth flow of work. Every step has to be meticulously planned.
Budgets If the budget already has been set for the work, it is the job of the civil engineer to make sure all the construction happens within the budget. If the budget has not been set, the civil engineer, along with the planner, will take into account the raw materials required, machinery & equipment costs, labour required for the project, and set the budget and deadlines accordingly.
