Software Architect - Bengaluru/Bangalore @ Harman Connected

• Develop/Contribute in defining software design strategy for the area of responsibility (e.g. Project, Domain, BU ENG, Application)

• Identify architectural constraints for the architectural level (project, domain, application) based on technical and organizational requirements and decompose them to architectural levels below

• Develop software architecture for the assigned architectural level fulfilling the architectural requirements

• Define, develop and verify all interfaces to related SW architectural elements are complete

• Describe, evaluate and verify dynamic behaviour and interaction between the related SW architectural elements

• Analyze customer requirement and map them to existing architecture or extend the architecture starting from RFQ/RFI phase

• Analyse and address architectural relevant non functional requirements

• Ensure traceability and consistency to system architecture and to software requirements

• Recommend implementation standards and design patterns that support information security and regulatory compliance objectives.

• Document key technical requirements for our Telematic Software.

• Customer contact for identifying and understanding architectural requirements

• Contribute to the Cybersecurity project efforts

• Support the Cybersecurity Manager to develop different technical work products

• Represent the project for Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA)

• Make risk treatment decisions

• Derive security requirements from TARA, and maintain the requirements specification for the cybersecurity concept.

• Support RFI/RFQ response on cybersecurity activities.

Required Skills:

• Masters or Bachelor degree in electrical, communications, computer engineering or similar discipline

• Knowledge of embedded software, system and beyond

• Proven technical leadership

• Ability to clearly communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

• Expert knowledge and experience of Software Architecture

• Experience with design methods (e.g. UML or SysML)

• Modelling tools and languages

• Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE specially SWE.2)

• Analysis of requirements

• Ability to document comprehensively and concisely

• Decision making and problem solving ability

• Many years of experience in product development, embedded software and connectivity technologies

• Hands on in C++ and is willing to get their hands dirty on a continuous basis

• Good understanding of Linux OS kernel and user space

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Automotive Functional Safety (ISO 26262)

• Competent on Automotive Cybersecurity Engineering (ISO 21434)

• Competent on TARA methodologies

• Knowledge of cryptography application in automotive ecosystem

• Knowledge of secure coding standards
