Primary Responsibilities
Should be working / aware with the latest version of MySQL Server (Mysql 5.x
higher) and all other versions
Implementation and support experience in High Availability features in MySQL
Server
for e.g. Replication, Clustering,Sharding ,Partioning etc.
giving solutions to customer for architecture and also working with Solution
Engineering team.
Working on new technologies and training and mentoring the team
Secondary
Responsibilities
Prepared to work in shifts.
Should be a selfstarter with high initiative, team player, with problem
solving abilities. A strong track record in customer satisfaction.
Ability to think clearly with good analysis and design capabilities. Function
independently or as part of a team.
Good communication skills, ability to interact with people and get a point
across intelligently. Good email and Instant Messenger (IM) etiquette.
Typical Years of
Experience
7-10 Years of MySql DBA experience.
Educational Qualification B.E or Min Graduate
Technical Skills
Mandatory 1. Min Experience 7 yrs. Working as a hard core MySQL Server DBA (Database
Administrator) not database developer
2. Should be working / aware with the latest version of MySQL Server (Mysql
5.x or higher)
3. Hands on experience
a. SQL queries optimization
b. Performance tuning
c. Trouble shooting
d. Installation
e. Implementing best practices
f. Involved in Backups , Recovery and Disaster Recovery planning
4. Implementation and support experience in High Availability features in
MySQL for e.g. Replication, Clustering etc.
5. Understanding of MySQL Server Architecture and Internals
6. He should be good in communication and presentation skills
Solid skills in productivity factors and ability to understand impact of
problem on overall database performance. Knowledge of fault detection and
resolution processes.
Strong skills in maintenance tools and procedures.
Technical Skills
Desired
Having Disaster-Recovery experience. Shell scripting, Perl scripting.
Preferred Qualifications
BE Computer Engg.
Mandatory Soft Skills
Ability to communicate to senior management and executives and articulate
corporate strategy.Process Knowledge (ITIL certified ..).
Self motivated individual. Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Additional Requirements
Willing to work extra hours with shortest notice.
