Job Description

The role will focus on the coverage of companies in the India Oil and Gas and Telecom sector. You will work on commercial and financial analysis of company performance, financial modelling, and valuations. As you grow into the role and reach the desired level of understanding / expertise of the investment theses / sector knowledge, you will have a chance to write equity research on companies and wider industry themes, and based on available opportunities, meet the management of companies, accompany the lead analyst for client meetings, and also interact directly with clients. Given the size of the coverage, you will be a very active member of the team and have plenty of scope to demonstrate your skills and capabilities.

Types of projects / tasks may include, but are not limited to:

    Creation and maintenance of excel models for industry sub-sectors and companies under coverage
    Tracking of sector news and non-covered companies as well as analysis of periodic statistical data
    Constant collaboration / information exchange with fellow associates covering the Oil and Gas and Telecom sector across geographies
    Background analysis as a part of active research on a company / theme
    Maintenance research products such as preview notes, results notes and sectoral data trends.
    Completion of ad hoc client requests, often to tight deadlines
    Assistance in initiation of coverage on new stocks and project deal reports
    Preparation of marketing presentations for lead analysts
    Support in developing new products
