Principal Engineering Manager - SRE - Noida @ Microsoft

Responsibilities

• As a Principal Engineering Manager in our team, you will lead, mentor and grow a team of talented, diverse engineers and architects who are versed in delivering exceptional end user experiences, and world class services to our end users

• You will work across organizations, collaborating with partner teams to create innovative solutions in mobile threat defense area
• You will be required to provide strong leadership, raise the technical bar, maintain a data and results driven culture, nurture a team culture of high collaboration and trust, and drive Microsoft 365 Security services adoption
• You should be comfortable working in a start-up like / v1 effort, enjoy incrementally marching to towards a well-defined long-term architecture, and are motivated by solving hard security related problems

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Mastering CICD concepts and hands on implementations experiences, specifically GIT
• 12+ years of Windows / Linux hands on system experiences
• 8+ years of a mix of coding/testing/Integration experience - c#, Python or other equivalent
• Proven experience with building large scale services/Infrastructures, supportability and observability
• 7+ years of leadership experience managing a team with proven Ability to nurture and grow talent.
• 5+ Hands-on experience of Kubernetes, Engineering Systems - CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Software Engineers, Program Managers, Security researchers, and Data Scientists.
• Ability to manage and deliver multiple project phases at the same time
• Strong analytical and problem solving and organizational skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to deal with the ambiguity associated with working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
• Leadership skills: Sound problem resolution, judgment, negotiating and decision-making skills.
• Feedback/Metrics collection techniques to expose live site/service issues
• Demonstrated experience of defining strategy, vision, and roadmap for the team to enable concurrent releases across all supported platforms, enable self-service for developers to improve feedback loop as part of CI/CD and enable continuous build, test, and release for all components/products.
• Experience and knowledge of incorporating compliance and security requirements as they related secure code release pipelines.

Preferred Experiences and Technologies :

• Kubernetes, Prometheus, ISTIO, Service Fabric, Azure
• At least one of the major public clouds amongst Azure, AWS or GCP
• Data mining or data science experiences utilizing Big data andor relational data bases technologies
• Azure Dev Ops (ADO)
