Position Summary
This person will be responsible for the underwriting of Retail & Group business for PLI.
Key Responsibilities
The person shall be responsible for the following:
1. Execute underwriting task assigned for Pramerica Life, involving
- Inbound cases: Process the manual underwriting cases on daily basis with utmost accuracy
- Outbound cases: Dialogue regularly with the PLI Underwriting and Ops teams. Able to partner with sales and other external stakeholders
- Monitor the pending cases for want of requirements & their ageing in terms of volumes and value.
- Able to give decision on authority limit cases (Medically and financially)
2. Be able to actively contribute to the underwriting strategy and its implementation and monitoring at regular intervals.
3. Job responsibility may include:
- Publish the production across channels and internal departments of PLI to internal stakeholders to reflect control & maintenance on the SLAs
- Take regular inventory of the orphan requirements & proposals pending requirements to address the same & if required convert them into agent/distribution actionable.
- Take regular inventory of cases pending requirements, mapping versus ageing and taking appropriate call.
4. Call center /NB support: Support the call center/ NB with the information desired for query resolution & proposal /policy status through
- Ensuring that every stage of processing is captured manually /in the policy admin system
- Customer meets: Recognize and create brand loyalty among HNI customers through differentiated servicing standards for HNIs.
5. Others: Will be responsible for tracking industry trends and competition activity; and generation of new processing ideas. Will also ensure compliance of all Operations material as per IRDA guidelines.
Job Specifications:
Qualifications: Graduate- Preferably Medical or Para Medical Graduate and Licentiate/
Associate of III
Experience:
- Overall 0-2 years work experience in a life/health insurance underwriting role.
Key Core/ Behavioral Competencies:
- Strong communication skills: Ability to express ideas clearly and persuasively, to communicate decisions to distribution team and relevant stakeholders
- Planning and Organization: Effectiveness in planning and organizing activities of himself
- Energy: Ability to maintain a high activity level
