Job Description
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship for a team of UX Designers. Leading through example to deliver complete designs that advance our product and business objectives.
- Deliver a UX vision, along with a plan for evolutionary, iterative updates, that actualize the larger vision over time.
- Supporting team in understanding of business processes to envision and deliver end-to-end experiences that help users to feel connected, productive, and successful.
- Critique design work and providing actionable feedback to ensure design quality.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, and engineering to ensure a smooth product development process. Fostering a shared understanding of the user-centric intersection between design, customers, business, and engineering.
- Understand our domain and our product strategy to understand and communicate the why behind your team s work
- 10 years of experience in UX Design (not visual).
- 3 years of experience managing or leading design teams.
- Experience shepherding designs throughout an agile development process.
- Experience balancing product, development, and user-centered goals.
- Experience working on a product from inception to shipment.
- Effectiveness in working across organizational boundaries to define, manage, and prioritize work.
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Able to understand complex problems and find simple solutions. Can communicate complex interaction concepts clearly and persuasively to different audiences.
