We are looking for a self-motivated Senior Algorithm Engineer to join a team dedicated to developing algorithms for our invasive and non-invasive mechanical ventilation and airway clearance devices and systems. You are someone who is passionate about solving tough problems and developing the best possible solution for next generation of respiratory devices.
- Responsible for development of new, novel algorithms, software implementation, testing, and documentation for respiratory and airway clearance devices
- Interact with internal (marketing, regulatory, medical affair) and external (doctors, clinical experts) customers as needed to understand future needs, refine requirements, brainstorm solutions, develop and test new concepts, and to develop clinical evidence in support of new solutions.
- Excellent communications skills and have ability to effectively communicate technical subject matter to non technical stakeholders
- Strong understanding of signal processing and general algorithm development techniques
- Be able to work as part of multidisciplinary team with minimal supervision
- Mentor and train junior team members and serve as ago-to expert in SRC critical algorithms
- Uses machine learning, advanced mathematical and statistical concepts and theories to create innovative algorithms
- Create and conducts clinical protocol for collecting and processing clinical studies in human subject

Physical Requirements:
This job primarily requires sitting, standing, and walking. Requires frequent lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs, and occasionally up to 40 lbs. Must have fine manipulation and grasping skills, as well as the ability to reach, twist and bend on an occasional to frequent basis, in order to perform the essential functions of the job.

Must be able to thrive in a fast paced, team oriented, new product development environment. Must also possess the ability to concurrently handle multiple project assignments and ability to lead as well as participate on cross-functional project teams.
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree required. Biomedical engineering degree acceptable if candidate also has strong software and signal processing experience.
- Preferred 15 years applicable experience
- Experience with mechanical ventilation modes and development of therapy algorithms preferred
- Strong experience with physiological signal processing and data analysis methods.
- Significant experience with algorithm formation from conceptual design to product realization.
- Experience in embedded systems software.
- Experience in developing software requirements, design documents, software implementation and testing.
- Experience and comfort with the use of test and analysis equipment essential in the development of software systems.
- Experience with signal processing and data analysis applications.
- Proficient in MATLAB and other high level scripting languages.
- Working knowledge of C/C++/C# and real-time systems is a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work on multiple projects
