Job Description
General Summary:
- Atleast 6 to 9 years of relevant experience
- Excellent C programming skills with proven experience of writing efficient code for low powered and memory constrained systems
- Experience implementing Sensor frameworks and Sensor algorithms.
- Knowledge of RTOS based environments required. Exposure to working with FreeRTOS is highly desired.
- Hands-on experience on ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Strong understanding of ARM architecture especially Cortex-M series
- Excellent trouble shooting and analytical skills that may be applied to resolve potential system issues
- Strong communication skills with ability to evaluate and create design documentation detailing complex features and relationships
- 6+ years of relevant industry work experience
- Master s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
Minimum Qualifications:
The role of Senior Lead Sensor Software Engineer will be to help develop Sensors and Sensing functionality on a new application processor for Qualcomms Track and Sense solutions. Right candidate shall be required to primarily design, develop, integrate, test, enhance and maintain various Sensor components such as peripheral drivers, sensor drivers, sensor algorithms, low power sensor framework among other tasks. Role would entail troubleshooting and resolving system issues ranging across similar code components in the overall chip s architecture. The engineer will take ownership of a component of a project and will be responsible for delivering the software on a timescale agreed with the group leader/program manager. The engineer should be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of embedded platforms peripherals such as SPI, I2C, I3C etc.
- Exposure to Qualcomm s SEE sensor architecture would be highly desirable
- Knowledge of hardware sensors like Accelerometer, Gyro, Magnetometer, PPG, ECG etc. and softwarealgorithmic sensors like Pedometer, Display sensors, Motion Detection etc. required.
- Experience implementing basic machine learning algorithms such as SVM s, neural nets etc. in C.
- Exposure to debugging tools and use of utilities like logic analyzers, oscilloscope, JTAG interfaces over Lauterbach/J-Link
