Sr. Software Engineer (Test Automation) - Pune @ Veritas Technologies

Job Description

• Design and develop automation framework, participate in code reviews, automate test cases
• Execute, maintain enhance automation test suites
• Mentor junior members. Collaborate across geographies and teams
• Review requirements, specifications, and technical documents
• Create and configure complex testing environments and perform manual as well as automated test execution
• Ensures product quality, completeness. Uncover quality defects and report with revenant debug logs, configuration, etc.
• Collaborate with development engineers and participate in technical discussions
• Create and review test plans and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements, customer deployment use-cases
• Verify fixes, potentially in any area of the software stack

Qualification and Skills

• BE or Masters with major in Computer Science or related field with 5 - 7 years of experience in software/product testing
• Experience in programming using C# and PowerShell script
• Experience in Microsoft UI automation
• Experience in working on Azure/AWS and testing SaaS Application like Microsoft Office 365, G-suite, etc on Azure/AWS
• Ability to independently understand and test backup solutions or features with due consideration to aspects of functionality.
• Ability to craft and deliver comprehensive test Plans for features and solution is paramount followed by execution and automation.
• Ability to convert requirements into test cases and ask appropriate questions to get a deeper understanding of the system
• Self-motivated, able to jump-start Test effort from the initial concept with a `can-do attitude
• Excellent problem-solving/analytical skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
