Job Description

• Independently perform software functional testing to ensure the product meets system specifications on assigned
• projects; distinguish between critical and noncritical errors
• Perform software regression testing to ensure that no defects are introduced from changes made during and between design cycles
• Create and prioritize basic to complex manual test cases using industry best practices for testing methodology
• Participate in and provide feedback for the requirements, design and interface specification reviews to ensure product test ability
• Collaborate with team on continuous improvement of QA standards and processes; act as a resource and mentor for less-experienced team members
• Effectively communicate status, issues and concerns with supervisor, manager and team members
• Create or upload manual test cases in Quality Center (QC); execute test scripts, report and maintain defects in QC
• Ensure QA artifacts are organized and test cases are in appropriate format
• Participate defect triage meetings
• Act as primary point of contact for all QA related activities for assigned projects
• Ensure compliance to XPO Project Development and SOX controls

Minimum Required Education: Bachelors degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field, masters degree a plus.

• Minimum Required Experience:
• 5+ years experience in a fast-paced software development environment.
• 4 years of experience as a QA Analyst, and 2 years of experience with HP Quality Center/ALM
• 2+ years experience working in Oracle EBS Finance testing : AP, AR and integrations
• Very good knowledge of IT software development methodologies and processes in an agile and waterfall environment.
• Transportation and logistics industry experience a plus.
• Capability to work offshore with ability to effectively provide results, manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment (desirable)
• Good to Have
• Ability to create automated test scripts and test software for iterative and incremental software development efforts
• Strong knowledge of QA automation frameworks and test suites for user interface (UI) and non-UI applications
• Proficiency with databases and writing complex SQL queries
• Experience in agile and scrum environments
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
