BI QA Analyst - Visakhapatnam/Vizag @ Cardlytics

Job Description

The QA Analyst will work closely with the development team to ensure the quality assurance of reports and procedures at all key stages and prior to production release. In addition to providing hands on QA support, the QA Analyst will also work with management to define and establish an effective QA strategy. This includes assessment of data accuracy and integrity, load efficiency evaluation, metrics validation, and ensuring business rules are properly enforced. You are expected to effectively communicate defects and suspicious results to stakeholders in a timely and methodical manner. You will continually partner with stakeholders to ensure issues are fully understood, addressed, and re-tested/validated.

We are looking for someone who is adept with data architecture, with strong SQL and general database knowledge. Tableau experience is highly desirable, including Desktop and Server applications. The ideal candidate must be highly organized and detail oriented. This role works with a variety of BI deliverables from complex stored procedures and datasets to Tableau and SSRS reports. We are looking for a naturally curious problem identifier who can think critically and communicate effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with management to define and execute a QA strategy for BI content
• Regularly assess data integrity from source-to-target, including the establishment of automated processes to support this where possible
• Participate in regular Data governance related tasks, including acting as liaison with business stakeholders
• Pro-actively test existing content to spot-check issues and support our BI product
• Perform testing of efficiency and security to ensure a positive customer experience and the integrity of the company s data
• Validate metrics definitions and results on back end and front end objects
• Communicate QA findings in an effective, organized, and attention-to-detail manner
• Establish and manage day-to-day QA related tasks using Jira

Experience

• At least two years of direct QA experience, with Business Intelligence QA preferred
• Strong working knowledge of SQL server and database architecture is preferred
• Prior Tableau experience from a QA standpoint is ideal
• Prior knowledge of using Tableau server is highly desirable
• Must be highly organized and attention to detail oriented due to the number and complexity of systems and datasets
• Strong written and verbal communicator that can identify issues in an understandable, clear, and concise manner
• Bachelor s degree or higher from an accredited university
• Knowledge of Python or similar programming language is desirable
