Software Test Engineer - Ernakulam / Kochi @ Petrolink

Job Description

Job Summary
Should have a strong understanding of SDLC processes and the QA methodology including bug tracking and reporting. The candidate should be able to work in proactive environment for time-critical systems to deliver highest quality and bug free software.

The applicant must also possess background in Automating Scripts towards applications based on WPF, C# web, .net, Java and windows. Primary responsibilities include scripting and execution of variety of key customer-facing and internal applications.

Desired Candidate

• Qualification:   B Tech/MCA/M Tech in Computer Science or related field.
• Location:   Petrolink Data Services Pvt. Ltd., Kochi/ Pune.
• Experience in years:   1+ years in manual testing 1+ years in automation testing.
• Notice Period:   30 days.

Duties Responsibilities

• Analysing the Requirements from the client
• Participating in preparing Test Plans.
• Preparing Test Scenarios
• Preparing Test Cases for module, integration and system testing.
• Preparing Test Data?s for the test cases.
• Preparing Test Environment to execute the test cases.
• Analysing the Test Cases prepared by other team members.
• Executing the Test Cases.
• Defect Tracking.
• Use existing tools and frameworks to build/script test conditions.
• Execute test cases and publish result analysis.
• Participate in troubleshooting issues along with different teams.
• Basic knowledge of databases like SQL, Oracle and Cassandra.
• Complete understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle.
• Experience in writing test cases and test scenarios.
• Excellent in reporting and bug tracking.
• Experience in working with QTP(UFT) OR Test Complete, Selenium, Jmeter.
• Experience in scripting and executing automation test cases.
• Excellent communication interpersonal skills.
• Good documentation skills.
