Lead - Software Engineering @ Fidelity Investments

Desired Candidate Profile

The
Purpose of This Role

This role directly supports
the Fidelity Health Marketplace and works closely with Operations, Marketing
and Technology to leverage client and industry data to support sales growth and
FHM s Health and Wellness initiatives.

Additionally,
this role will be responsible for understanding client business drivers and analyzing/ mining
data from internal and third-party sources to create insightful views that can
be used to enhance business growth and operational efficiencies. The role requires an individual who works to
enhance the capabilities of the overall team, ultimately helping to provide an
outstanding experience to our clients and business partners.

The
Value You Deliver

Act as fully functioning (Database

and Java Lead) member of the Fidelity Health Marketplace team, directly

supporting projects that help our business, clients and partners increase

productivity and efficiency

Assist operations team by performing

operation functions including distribution of data/ data feeds

Continually evaluate current

processes for efficiency and controls

Coordinate with compliance and

technology to build processes to ensure data security

Skills that are Key to this role

Mandatory skills

6
years of design and development experience in Oracle & MySQL, ANSI SQL,
Stored Procedures, SQL analytic/ windowing functions and Unix Shell scripts.

Ability

to design and implement complex database scripts and production ready high-performance

- SQL scripts/ procedures/ triggers.

Experience implementing functionality using some of the

following technologies/ concepts:

Java, JEE and Spring

Experience in generating

operational reports/ feeds/ extracts in Microsoft Excel, CSV and Flat files.

Experience in

adopting the database best practices, the SQL standards and ETL Industry

standards.

Proven abilities

in taking ownership of project deliverables and deliver them on time

ensuring consistent performance in service quality.

Ability

to communicate ideas clearly, both in the written (documentation) and oral

presentations.

Other technologies (Preferred but
not mandatory) :

Experience
in any ETL technologies/ tools (preferably Informatica/ Talend) in designing and
development of ETL packages/ Jobs.

Experience
in Springboot, Services SOAP, REST and Tomcat server.

MVC frameworks: Angular, jQuery

& JavaScript frameworks including Node.js

Development
and build tools (Eclipse, Maven / Grunt etc.)

Experience
in Data warehousing/ ODS/ MDM/ Data lake projects and have implemented the best
practices.

Experience in Business

intelligence/ reporting tools

Experience

in researching the right technology solutions in the database world for

the given business opportunity and conducting relevant POCs to validate

and come up with solution options.

Experience Big Data

technologies like Hadoop, HDFS, Sqoop and NoSQL databases like MongoDB etc

Ability

to handle multiple projects simultaneously and handle multiple priorities

& deliverables.

GIT/ Stash/ SVN

JIRA stories in Agile platform

The
Skills that are good to have for this role

Knowledge of the Healthcare domain, Workplace solutions

products like HR/ Payroll/ Health benefits.

The
Expertise we re looking For

Bachelor's degree in Engineering/ Computer Science or

equivalent experience

6
years of design and development experience in Oracle & MySQL, ANSI SQL,
Stored Procedures, SQL analytic/ windowing functions and Unix Shell scripts.

Ability to design and implement complex database

scripts and production ready high-performance - SQL

scripts/ procedures/ triggers.

Experience implementing

functionality using some of the following technologies/ concepts:

Java, JEE and Spring

Experience with AWS and Continuous Delivery are

preferred

Worked as a Lead Database/ Java engineer in web-based database/ application

projects.

Education:

UG:   B.Tech/B.E.

PG:  Post Graduation Not Required
