Job Description

 To Assist Finance Manager to prepare and followup of project budget.
To Assist Finance Manager to prepare monthly cash request.
To suggest cost effectives ideas and to analysis various cost to highlight major deviation.
Responsible for quality and accuracy of data-entry in UNIFIELD for the project.
Maintenance of a filing system for the invoices, supporting documents and to make sure that the invoices are glued well stamped, properly filed and encoded.
Ensure that each booking entry has a corresponding voucher that is numbered and annotated with book, accounting code, project, and accounting month.
Checks and validates the accounting of all UNIFIELD (spot check);
Checks the quality of the accounting allocations; check the conformity of all the invoices and other vouchers and ensures they are approved;
Manage matching and reconciliation of any banking transactions for Mumbai.
Assist Cashier for follow up operational advances on the basis of valid documents, and strictly following the segregation between cost centers, and also to make sure operational advances to other departments (logistics, administration, supply), and timely reimbursement.
Follow up reconciliations between the bank statements and the cheque follow up file.
Reconciliation of all accounts books for the Project.
Prepare the monthly closing after ensuring that all expenses are properly encoded and advances matched and send the Monthly closure file to the Finance Manager by the second of the next month.
Manage to fetch report from UNIFIELD and to give to respective team as and when required.
Follow up reconciliations between the bank statements and the cheque follow up file.
To go through the comments received from coordination regarding each month closure, rectify mistakes if any for the next months, and give feedback to the coordination regarding points requiring clarification in collaboration with the Project Finance Manager.
Prepare Taxation table to be sent to coordination every month within legal deadlines under the supervision of the Project Finance Manager.
Is under the direct supervision of Project Finance Manager and reports to the finance Manager.
Collaborates with the Medical and Non-Medical department to cater their problem and provide possible solutions.
To ensure that all the balance account reconciliation are done in line with internal bookkeeping (bank/cash, vendors/staff/statutory liabilities etc.)
To educate and coach within the team and field team about the tax compliances etc. to minimize incompliances and risks.
Assist in preparation of all deliverables and reports for Financial Year End closing procedures and reporting in accordance with CAL guidelines and to submit it to coordination.
Liaison with Bank, other consultant like PF etc. on regular basis to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:
Graduation in Accounts /Finance (essential), and post-graduation Accounts /Finance (Preferable)
Experience: Essential previous working experience of at least 3-4 years in relevant jobs.
Desirable experience in MSF or other NGOs in developing countries

Duration - 12 Months (Renewable)
Location: Mumbai Expected Start Date: 1st February 2020

Excellent computer skills (especially MS Office MS Word and MS Excel) & reporting skills.
Languages: English, Hindi/Marathi
