Job Description
Performs the following functions: Designs , analyzes , evaluates , tests , debugs and implements applications programs in support of various functional areas such as materials , marketing , accounting , or human resources. Analyzes , installs , acquires , modifies and supports operating systems , database or utilities software. Plans , conducts and directs the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems. Analyzes , designs , acquires and implements projects for LAN and / or WAN systems. Plans , designs , acquires and implements telecommunication voice / wire systems. Performs maintenance , administration and troubleshooting of Kronos' Cloud & Hosted production environments through timely alert and request response , acknowledgement , triage and escalation processes. Functionally , the duties of a Hosted Systems Engineer include system administration and support of production environments in a 24X7 Cloud and Hosted Operations Center within Windows and Linux operating environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in Windows and UNIX (Linux preferred) , ITIL , working and providing Technical support 24 X 7 for Customer faced production environments and extraordinary people skills. This position will work within the organization to design , develop , and deploy efficient solutions for the Kronos' Cloud & Hosted environment. Salary Negotiable Industry IT Software SubIndustry Software Development Functional Area IT Software Development Specialization IT / Technical Content Developer Role Executive / Officer LevelRelated Bachelors degree plus 3 to 5 years of experience in medium to large IT environment. - Experience in a Hosting , SaaS , or Cloud environment is strongly desired. - Solid understanding and hands on experience of Windows Administration: Active Directory , SMTP , DNS , SFTP troubleshooting skills , tuning Windows for performance and OS patching - Experience with VMware administration and support. - Understanding of Linux environment and administrative support experience. - Experience supporting Citrix Application Server and Microsoft Terminal server - Knowledge of SAN Storage and backup technologies - Strong knowledge of hosting environments and related network configurations. - Solid verbal and written communication skills - The following certifications would be a strong plus: o Microsoft MCP , MCSA , MCSE o RHEL o VMware VCP , VCA o ITIL Foundation V3 Education Highest Qualification Graduation B.E / B.Tech
