Job Description

The Hydraulic Technician is responsible on the supervision of the mechanical maintenance works of

The crushers, Kiln, Cement mill and packing areas in addition to belt conveyors and bag filters.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Responsible for the maintenance and well being of the relevant equipment

2. Records some possible anomalies observed on the equipment during maintenance or inspection

3. Monitors the time requirements for each job and the optimal manpower and skills necessary for

executing jobs

4. Supervises the trial of equipment after maintenance

5. Ensures that proper safety measures are being adhered to at all times by all personnel

6. Responsible for scheduled inspection of tools and tackles (including safety tools and tackles) and

Ensuring that these are in optimal condition of safe use.

7. Responsible for recording of daily job activities

10. Recommends improvements for cost reductions

11. Responds to emergency repair needs

13. Ensures productive use of the crew

14. Specifies work procedures if required

15. Monitors and controls overtime

16. Ensures safe storage and disposal of replaced spares.

Diploma in the Hydraulic Maintenance field.
