Job Description
Amazon is seeking a qualified Security Engineer to join our innovative, high-energy India Information Security team. This candidate will be an innovative and forward thinking individual who possess in-depth knowledge and will be identifying Information Security risks, provide recommendations for threat mitigation, and help raise the Security bar working with the Global Amazon Information Security team. Your ability to see the big picture and influence others will help drive the implementation of Security solutions. Your work directly impacts how Amazon India does business, providing a secure, robust, and reliable infrastructure and platform - which our payments partners, business organizations, and customers trust. Responsibilities Evaluating complex business and technical requirements, identifying and communicating inherent security risks and solutions to technical and non-technical business owners. Work with software development teams to proactively assess risk, fix security issues, and provide policy guidance. Anticipate bottlenecks, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints. Review Threat models, Engineer security controls to protect data and systems. Work with Technical Program Managers and Software Development Engineers to improve security, and quickly address and reduce risk. Work proactively with business teams to ensure security objectives are met. Evangelize security within Amazon and be an advocate for customer trust.Basic Qualifications 8 years relevant experience in systems, network and application security engineering, and security in native AWS services. Experience with service-oriented architectures, private and public clouds and web services security. Well versed in application security, infrastructure security, business risk analysis and making complex business/risk trade-off recommendations and decisions. Technical knowledge in at least one security domain such as application security, systems and network security, authentication or security protocols. Hands-on knowledge of information security technologies such as security design review, threat modeling, risk analysis, and software testing techniques. Strong information security risk-based prioritization abilities. Familiarity with common attack patterns, exploitation techniques and remediation techniques.
