Job Description

Qualification & Experience;

Btech/Diploma in Structural/Civil Engineering, or equivalent , although other related disciplines will be considered.

With 5 to 7 Years of Industry experience.

Principal Duties, Key Responsibilities & Experience

As a BIM RC Modeller you will have a sound knowledge of Reinforcement Detailing, and have experience in both new -build and refurbishments, including highway, water, commercial and rail projects.

The role will involve the preparation of preliminary sketches, general arrangement drawings, detail drawings, reinforcement drawings and schedules under the direction of an BIM Manager.

You will be using Revit (latest version), AutoCAD (latest version) and CADSRC Tools.

Revit (latest version) to produce 2D drawings and 3D models and Reinforcement 3D Model for tender and construction. You will coordinate with Project BIM lead and produce detailed 3D models to a prescribed LOD and the drawing sets required for a project delivery for projects.

Also, you will be expected to take the BIM/CAD lead on projects, work with nominal supervision, and will be expected to liaise with other internal and external design team members on a proactive basis to resolve problems. You will act as a mentor to more junior staff and help develop their Technical understanding of structures and Detailing skills.

Required Competencies;

Fully computer literate (includes Word and Excel) and have good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Conversant with the latest Revit, AutoCAD, and Cads RC packages.

Confident in the ability to produce 3D Reinforcement in Revit.

Competent in the detailing of reinforced concrete and structural steel.

Knowledge of BS8666 -2005 is must.

Knowledge in using BS and Euro Codes is must.

Knowledge about the BIM LOD Level Detailing.

Strong organisation Skills ability to work independently and as a team and ensure communications are effective.

Problem solving skills.

Questioning.

Knowledge of BS and Euro Codes.

Konowledge of RC Detailing as per BS Codes and Euro Codes.

A good team player with strong communication skills.

A positive attitude towards Health & Safety.

A desire to engage with a global team.

Proficient in the following software;

REVIT knowledge and experience in AecoSIM will be an added advantage.

CADSRC.

MS Outlook.

MS Word.

MS Excel.

MS Powerpoint.

Able to work independently and demonstrate initiative.

Networking, communication and people skills.

Flexibility in working hours.

Ability to translate highly complex employment law information to non -technical audiences.
