Desired Candidate Profile
Required skills:
- 14+ years of IT Experience with at least 4-5 years of Project Management experience
- Past hands on experience with any technology areas (J2EE, .NET, BI, SAP, Infra etc)
- Experience managing plans with MS Project, PWA, JIRA, Confluence and SharePoint as KM tool
- Experience managing cross functional & global teams
- Ability to quickly grasp things Business, functional and technical
- Experience with SDLC, Waterfall, Agile / Scrum
- Strong Vendor Management skills with managing SOWs, timesheets, invoicing, estimations, reviews, deliverables etc.
- Issue, Risk and Escalation management
- Familiarity with estimation techniques and guide the team on estimations
- Manage P&L
- Stakeholder communication and escalation management
- Ability to negotiate, take ownership & responsibility and be assertive
- Should have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Provide leadership by example
- Project tracking & Status reporting
- Team management and enablement
- Skill gap analysis (technology & functional knowledge) and fixing of gaps thru training, self-learning plans
- Facilitate domain and application understanding
- Set expectations discipline, best practices, standards, processes for the project
- Identifying alternative resources
- Ensuring KT and handover
- work planning and allocations
- Guide team
- Ability to review team work code, design, solution, test cases etc
- Bring process improvements
- Willing to work in stretched timings as well as travel to US for short term / long term to ensure project delivery timelines are met. Team works with US-CST overlap from 30 mins overlap to 2-3 hours overlap.
Desired Skills:
- Preferably with experience in working with captive IT services companies/ Product companies
- Managing application or product delivery teams
