Job Description

Asst. Manager - Tool Design & Senior Tool Designer - Tool Room

JD: Roles & Responsibilities: -

• Concept design, full mold assembly drawing with BOM; detailed drawings of mold component
• Tolerance analysis, manufacturing feasibility analysis
• Mold flow analysis report interpretation
• Must work with both 3D design software (UG or Pro/E) and 2D design software (AutoCAD)
• Must work in the shift (1st shift or 2nd shift)
• Conduct mold design review with team;
• Managing design documents as per the company standards / rules
• Need to have very good engineering analytical knowledge about plastic injection molds
• Knowledge of precision mold design for C&E, Medical parts, caps & closures
• Knowledge of tolerance analysis, plastic mold making, molding
• Knowledge on Personal Hygiene & pre-Requisite program
• Knowledge on Allergen Management
• Knowledge on Product Safety
• Knowledge on Wood policy / Glass policy / Sharp Knife policy
• Knowledge on Chemical Control policy
• Knowledge on HACCP / CCP monitoring / Hazard Analysis / Risk
• Obtaining sign off design from the customer.
• Communication with concerned team (like R&D or some technical person) of the customer.
• After receiving final sign off, start tool design.
• Get it reviewed with Tool Room team: HOD tool making, Tool maker & manufacturing head.
• Do necessary correction/changes as per requirement.
• Prepare 3D/2D & dimensions detailing.
• Floating Mould base design to Mould base manufacturers.
• Floating finalised HRS design with HRS vendor.
• Coordinate with Hot runner system / mould base supplier for technical/mfg data.
• Releasing/coordinating with manufacturing team and CAM programmer (within design department)
• Releasing BOM to manufacturing with final manufacturing data.
• Releasing BOM (Standard/mould supporting elements with specification) to HOD tool making/ HOD tool room.
• Post T 0, supporting to tool makers for debugging/ECN suggestions required if any

Skills/Experience required:-

1. 3 years + experience Tool Designing (Preferable packaging/electronics background)
2. Familiar with machine operations and soft wares
3. Degree in Mechanical ENG / Diploma in Tool designing
4. Familiar with HRS system tools
5. NX 10, Auto CAD & MS office
6. Language: English, HINDI (Must), Tamil (and if Kannada also)
