Job Description
The key areas we are looking for are as follows:
- Proficient in working with EDW.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management.
- Experience with version controlling tools like TFS.
- Experience with Database Designing, Query Optimization and Indexing of tables.
- Proficient with complex data integrations from sources such as Sybase, Oracle, SQL etc.
- Proficient in creating views and controllers to provide data for application like CRM, Cognos and SRSS.
- Proficient in working with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Hashing to index and retrieve items in Database.
- Should know database concepts like star schema, snowflake schema etc.
- Knowledge of working and migrating in different environments Development, Testing, Production etc.
- Formulating Business requirements and translating it into technical ones.
- Leading BI software development, deployment, and maintenance.
- Report curation and data modelling.
- Participation in data warehouse design.
- Provide leadership, vision, and direction to the applications organization to ensure it will contribute to the company achieving its goals.
- Interview stakeholders and develop roadmap for success given project prioritization and budget.
- Provide thought leadership in platform rationalization strategy, development organization structure and alignment.
- Participates in the planning for retirement of systems programs, and migration of systems infrastructure.
- Develop business cases and ROI for department to get buy-in from senior management.
- Evangelize self-service BI and visual discovery while helping to change Excel based culture.
Qualifications:
- Must have 8-15 years of Enterprise Data Warehousing Experience
- Must have 8-15 experience of TSQL
- Must have good exposer of delta handling and error handling
- Must have good experience with Data Modeling, Star or snowflake schemas, Dim tables or fact tables
- Experience with Business Intelligence, Analytics and BI Strategic.
- Experience with BI Technology: SQL, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS
- Experience with different SQL versions from 2014 to 2019
- Good to have Sybase Knowledge but not mandatory
- Must have good Power BI experience (data flow, data modeling, app concept, deployment pipeline and Rest API)
- Working experience with Data base administrator
- Good to have knowledge of ER Studio.
- Results and goals oriented with excellent work ethic, self-motivated and demonstrable experience managing through conflict.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Strong business acumen and willingness to learn business processes.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with peers in IT and business units to align development work/objectives with corporate goals and objectives.
- Must be knowledgeable in software development lifecycles/methodologies i.e., agile
- Has strong presentation and collaboration skills and can communicate all aspects of the job requirements, including the creation of formal documentation.
- Strong problem solving, time management and organizational skills.
- Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree Computer Science or Statistics prefer.
- Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Mac OS, Windows)
- Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
- Ability to work independently, and in teams.
- Able to collaborate with team and have a strong desire to excel.
- Must be able to work independently as well as a team player and can manage own workload.
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills. To be able to work with client personnel in USA directly and to be able to communicate with them.
