Job Description
Position Assistant Engineer ( Management Staff ).
Qualification 1. B. TECH/BE Mechanical
Experience 1.BE and 4 years hands on experience in manufacturing field.
Age 28-34 years at entry level
Department Production
Immediate Superior Assit. Production Manager
Salary 28 to 32 K(as per the skill of candidates)
Roles && Responsibilities:
1. Follow companys Safety instructions and 3S activities.
2. To ensure that all products are manufactured with utmost efficiency and quality, according to
planned protocols using the appropriate technology.
3. Having good knowledge of CNC && VMC programming.
4. Asist. Engineer has to understand how to manipulate daily manpower using manpower control
plan.
5. The Asist. engineer must also supervise his staff to ensure they meet important production
deadlines.
6. Provide engineering support for production (like jig, fixture, die , gauge development and
maintenance activities to ensure maximum production.
7. The Asist .production engineer is charged with managing workers on the production line, ensuring
they all work together as a team and follow protocols.
8. To provide subordinates with the proper training for both Scheduled and On-Job training activities.
9. Engineer have to learn how equipment operates first from machinery operators, and then train
production workers on how to use the equipment in the manufacturing process.
10. Engineer have to understand specifically how the equipment works to produce specific products,
how workers should interact with the equipment, which safety precautions to take.
11. How to operate the machinery most efficiently and productively Have to be familiar with
maintenance procedures and controls for all machinery.
12. One of your main duties is troubleshooting all steps in this process, and seeking improvement in
procedures wherever necessary
13. Engineers must also familiarize themselves with the types of equipment / Tool they might have to
order and install for new projects, always keeping track of costs.
14. A production engineers duties can involve administrative roles such as assigning junior staff
duties and shifts.
15. Responsible for the procedures that are used in the manufacturing process
16. Develop operating instructions and equipment specifications for production activities such as WI,
SOP etc
17. Implement cost reduction initiatives while maintaining high quality standards.
18. Identify unsafe operations and practices and report the same to Manager immediately.
19. Perform engineering analysis to reduce downtime and outages.
20. Should be able to investigate problems, analyze root causes and derive resolutions when ever
received QC Info from QC dept.
21. Asist. Production engineers manage the operation of one or more manufacturing workshops in a
manufacturing company.
22. Asist. Production engineers must spend part of their workday using computers to plan production
schedules and budgets for specific projects.
23. Knowledge of ISO/IATF standard.
24. Any other additional duties that might be instructed by immediate superior which is within the
employee capacity and capabilities.
