Senior Node Js Developer
Job description
Writing reusable, scalable, testable and efficient code in Node Js and related technologies.
Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant RESTful API echo system.
Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic using RESTful APIs.
Implementation of security and data protection.
Ability to translate functional/non-functional requirement into system requirements.
Deploying Applications into docker and GCP enviorments.
Capable of designing and creating optimal database schema for MongoDB.
Work with different product and business teams to understand end-user
requirements,formulate definition and translate that into an effective technical solutions.
Automation - build and deployment of Node Js based REST API servers.
Will report to the Head of Engineering.
Skills and Qualifications

5 or more years of strong coding proficiency with Node.js, Express and JavaScript/Typescript.
Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds.
Understanding accessibility and security compliance.
User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and microservices.
Knowledge of Kafka would be beneficial.
Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.
Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
Understanding differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs. web, and optimizing output to match the specific platform.
Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
The candidate should have extremely good communication skills and should be able to drive technical discussions with partners and vendors.
Mandatory Skills
Node.js along with Express framework and JavaScript
Knowledge of MongoDB or Redis database.
GCP and cloud based technologies.
RESTful APIs and their documentation (Swagger)
APIs test automation and test-driven development using Jest or any other testing framework
Agile/Scrum development cycle understanding
Understanding of NPM modules and able to explore and integrate them in code.
