Key Performance Indicators
- Problem identification and troubleshooting a wide range of complex mechanical , manufacturing and assembly problems in design projects , assembly, testing fixtures etc.
- Will be responsible for reviewing the designs, developments, drawings, specifications, and implementation GD&T with right tolerancing.
- Technically execute and manufacturing the engineering projects and drawings by developing it with the AMAT associated suppliers.
- Interface with internal and external customers regarding mechanical design, drawing or MBD drawing issues for specific project.
- Define / Create requirements for the material handling units which includes the manufacturing, servicing, transportation, and assembly validation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Ensure drawing and Manufacturing specifications are per Applied standards. Design and drawing reviews with suitable GD&T and Stack up analysis. Co-ordinate, mentor and develop the skill of less experiences team members. Co-ordinate with vendors for various developments and solving any manufacturing, assembly, servicing, and transportation issues. Knowledge necessary to perform job includes, solving engineering problems which are arises at design and manufacturing phases. Basic general knowledge of electrical engineering disciplines; working knowledge of CAD tools; understanding of product and business requirements. General knowledge of appropriate materials, components and technologies used in the semiconductor equipment industry.
Skill sets
Required:
- Sound Knowledge on automated fixture Design, Material Selection, Machining and Fabrication process and post processing operations.
- Hands on experience in creating specification on mechanisms and choosing right OEMs to compliment the specified mechanism.
- Thorough knowledge in selection of fasteners, OEMs, and its accessories in the market. Example Linear Guides, Casters/wheels, motors, gearbox, bearings, lifting hoist accessories etc.
- Good knowledge on using sheet metal applications wherever necessary.
- Pro-efficient in creating manufacturing drawings, defining tolerances with GD&T. Certification on GD&T will be added advantage.
- Pro-efficient in UG NX is an added advantage & Structural Analysis Hands on Ansys or Nastran is desirable.
Desirable:
- All the above required skills with hydraulics / pneumatics / mechatronics knowledge will be an add advantage.

Qualification
Required: Degree / Masters in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering with all above criterias.
Desirable: 1. Engineering or Equivalent with sound knowledge of Mechanical engineering and material handling or automation fixture design.
2. GD&T Certification is an added advantage.
Experience
No of years: Experience of 4-6 years in design and development of SPMs, Assembly Line Automation, Fixture Design in a development or manufacturing organization. Min 2-3 years experience in technically reviewing the designs and drawings created by peer engineers.
