Ordering & Delivery Discuss PR quantities generated by MRP run by the Supply Chain team based on the rolling demand plan to finalise the quantity to be ordered.
Generate POs for quantities finalised with Supply Chain & share POs with vendors as per share of wallet guidelines.
Follow-up with vendors regarding regular progress for the POs released to ensure timely delivery of materials at the right location in line with delivery schedules shared locally based on production schedule & line availability.
For purchases made by OCM directly from vendors approved by company , at rates approved by company , in line with the plan shared by company , address any disturbance in supplies, expedition requirements and planning of high lead times items.
Co-ordinate with RM Delivery team for logistics where required for material delivery at company locations
Address any incoming quality clearance issues for continuity of supply to production.
Resolve any payment issues for vendors to ensure continuity of supply of materials.
Provide forecasting input to vendors for long lead time / bulk item inputs to PM to ensure vendor readiness to deliver PM as per updated demand plans & POs from time to time.
Oversee code and description creation, activation in SAP and adding to / updation of BOM as required for existing & new PM SKUs. Inventory Management Review inventory on an ongoing basis to identify potential shortage, non / slow moving inventories and plan reuse / scrap as per approval process with PD and Operations.
Review blocked stock subsequent to on-line failure of PM for possibility of alternate reuse, stickering, etc.
Obtain requisite approvals for unusable blocked stock for clearance through scrap process.
