Job Description

: We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Manager Business Development. The Assistant Manager will play a crucial role in driving the growth and expansion of our business. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new sales leads, generating leads, pitching for educational (distance) courses, visiting educational institutions, and building long-term relationships with customers. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of colleges and courses, and the ability to meet sales targets in both B2B and B2C sales.

Responsibilities:

  1. Identify new sales leads and meet sales targets in both B2B and B2C sales.
  2. Generate leads through various channels, including online research, networking, and cold calling.
  3. Develop a good understanding of colleges and courses to effectively pitch educational (distance) courses.
  4. Pitch and promote our educational (distance) courses to potential customers, showcasing the benefits and features.
  5. Visit educational institutions to establish relationships, arrange meetings, and explore partnership opportunities in B2B sales.
  6. Liaise with universities and educational authorities to ensure the smooth functioning of operations.
  7. Collaborate with the lead support team to address customer inquiries, provide product information, and assist in resolving issues.
  8. Build and maintain long-term relationships with new and existing customers to foster customer loyalty and drive repeat business.
  9. Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive activities to identify new business opportunities.
  10. Provide regular reports and updates on sales activities, leads generated, and progress towards targets to the management team.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  2. Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role.
  3. Strong understanding of colleges, courses, and the education industry.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively pitch products and build relationships.
  5. Proactive and self-motivated individual with a passion for achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  6. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  7. Experience in B2B sales, including visiting educational institutions and establishing partnerships, is highly desirable.
  8. Proficient in using CRM software, MS Office Suite, and other sales tools.
  9. Knowledge of distance education and online learning platforms is a plus.
  10. Willingness to travel to educational institutions and attend industry conferences as required.
