  • The Rolling Machine Operators adjust and correct machine set-ups to reduce thicknesses, reshape products, and eliminate product defects.

  • The Rolling Machine Operators monitor machine cycles and mill operation to detect jamming and to ensure that products conform to specifications.

  • The Rolling Machine Operator examines, inspects, and measures raw materials and finished products to verify conformance to specifications.

  • The Rolling Machine Operator reads rolling orders, blueprints, and mill schedule to determine setup specifications, work sequences, product dimensions, and installation procedures.

  • The Rolling Machine Operator manipulates controls and observes dial indicators in order to monitor, adjust and regulate speeds of machine mechanisms.

  • The Rolling Machine Operator starts operations of rolling and milling machines to flatten, temper, form and reduce sheet metal sections and to produce steel strips.

  • The Rolling Machine Operator sets distance points between rolls, guides, meters, and stops, according to specifications.

  • The Rolling Machine Operator threads or feeds sheets or rods through rolling mechanisms, or starts and controls mechanisms that automatically feeds steel into rollers.

  • The Rolling Machine Operator positions, aligns, and secures arbors, spindles, coils, mandrels, dies, and sitting knives.

  • The Rolling Machine Operator directs and trains other workers to change rolls, operate mill equipment, removes coils and cobbles, and band and load materials.

  • The Rolling Machine Operator threads or feeds sheets or rods through rolling mechanisms, or starts and control mechanism that automatically feed steel into rollers.

  • The Rolling Machine Operator positions, align, and secure arbors, spindles, coils, mandrels, dies and sitting knives.

  • The Rolling Machine Operators directs and trains other workers to change rolls, operate mill equipment, and remove coils and cobbles, and band and load material.
