Job Posting: Piping Material Engineer

Location: Hyderabad,

Experience: 5-15 years in Oil and Gas Industry, Offshore experience required

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Piping Material Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad. As a Piping Material Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the correct selection and specification of materials for piping systems used in the oil and gas industry.

Responsibilities:

I. Develop Material Requisitions (MR), Material Selection Diagram (MSD), Material Selection Report (MSR), and Material Take-Off (MTO)

II. Review and approve Material Test Reports (MTR) from vendors

III. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure material selection aligns with design requirements

IV. Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards for material selection

V. Manage the material approval process, including handling material substitution requests and reviewing technical data

Requirements:

I. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

II. Minimum of 5-15 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry

III. Strong background in offshore piping material selection

Familiarity with welding, heat treatment, and non-destructive testing techniques
