Job Description

As an E-Commerce Backend Developer, he/she should be able to perform the following duties:

As part of a team, performs analysis, design, implementation, unit tests, and code reviews. Works with business stakeholders, managers, and other developers to create solutions to business problems.

Translates functional requirements into conceptual and detailed designs; Provides estimates for development effort; Implementing proof of concept, prototypes and production-grade software; writes unit tests;

Supports Avantor internal and global web applications for enhancements and break-fix

The following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other Duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

Required Skills

Bachelors degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience and/or certificates.

5+ years of application development using various technologies like Java, J2EE (Servlets, JSP, JDBC, JMS, Transactions), Web Services, XML/XSLT, Java script.

Experience on open-source tools and frameworks: Spring MVC, Spring boot, Hibernate, ANT, MAVEN, JUNIT.

Knowledge implementing Angular framework is an added advantage

Experience in working with RESTFUL Web Services and integrating RESTFUL APIs. Knowledge

implementing RESTFUL API's is an added advantage.

Experience on any of the standard Application Servers JBOSS, Websphere, Tomcat.

Experience working with Apache web servers.

Nice to have - Knowledge and understanding of relational database structure and design using MySql, Oracle 11G & PostgreSql.
