Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Kitchen Staff member to join our team. As a Kitchen Staff member, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of food, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients
- Prepare and cook menu items to the required standard
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including washing dishes and cleaning equipment
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed
- Assist with plating and garnishing dishes
- Provide excellent customer service, including answering questions and responding to customer complaints
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Follow health and safety protocols, including proper food handling and storage
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
- Ability to lift up to 25kg and stand for long periods
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Working Conditions:
- Work in a busy kitchen environment with high temperatures and noise levels
- Exposure to kitchen equipment and sharp objects
- May be required to work in a hot and humid environment
