Job Description
The AVP, Scrum Master - Analytics Innovation will be part of Analytics Center of Excellence rolling up to Synchrony India. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading one or more of agile scrum teams developing and executing various case studies on Analytics Monitoring Platform (AMP). This role is responsible for collaborating with various product owners and other stakeholders in, Credit, ECE, Technology, Data warehousing Data Lake and other teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background with a focus on Analytics, Agile Development and a proven track record of delivering critical initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead agile scrum team to support and deliver analytics infrastructure which accelerates solution development and identification of actionable insights.
- Create project, release and sprint plans for AMP
- Conduct Scrum Ceremonies: Daily Stand Ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, Demos/Reviews, Retrospectives, and release planning.
- Review user stories/requirements, report project status to external internal stakeholders
- Keep scrum team focused on concrete priorities while keeping outside influences from disrupting the Scrum team and actively identify and remove waste and distractions.
- Ensures process rigor and adherence to project methodology standards, including ensuring all required project and partner related documentation is updated accordingly.
- Collaborate and build consensus among peers, team members and external partners for project success
- Communicate and facilitate effectively across diverse audiences including key stakeholders and executives
- Create maintain project status reports/dashboards for management stake holder reviews
- Work to define business requirements for new projects and provide input on how to address systematically.
- Use project management tools like JIRA, Confluence, Slack and Smartsheets to plan and manage process, people and projects
- Partner on the development delivery of key Strategic initiatives
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Master s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Econometrics or MBA or Engineering graduates
- 8+ Years of working experience in Analytics/IT domain with Minimum of 3 years project management or scrum master experience
- Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills. Should be able to communicate effectively to varied audiences changing style and format depending on stakeholder needs.
- Proven leadership and effective decision- making capabilities
- Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution
- Ability to monitor and manage critical path elements of consolidated projects programs

Desired Characteristics:
- Demonstrated ability to work with cross- functional teams, software developers, and specific experience practicing Agile methodology
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence and Slack; fluency in MS Office
- Superior organization skills and adept at multitasking
- An analytical approach to problem solving and troubleshooting
- Strong customer focus and ability to manage customer expectations
