Job Description: Central CQA Manager Position: Central CQA Manager Location: Corporate Office Reports to: Sr VP Mfg and SC Job Summary: The Central CQA (Corporate Quality Assurance) Manager will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring the consistent quality assurance processes across all plants, in alignment with organizational standards. This role will play a pivotal part in maintaining and enhancing quality systems, managing ISO certifications, and ensuring compliance in raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods. The role will also encompass claims handling, artwork approval, process validation, and continuous improvement of the quality management system. Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance Management: Lead the overall Quality Assurance (QA) strategy across multiple manufacturing plants. Ensure consistent quality practices and standards are maintained across all plant locations. Monitor and review plant-level quality performance and drive improvements. Certifications: Manage and maintain ISO certification processes across all sites, including regular audits and recertification. Ensure that the plants adhere to ISO standards, implementing corrective actions when necessary. Quality Control (RM, PM, FG): Oversee the quality control processes for Raw Materials (RM), Packaging Materials (PM), and Finished Goods (FG). Work closely with procurement and manufacturing teams to ensure incoming materials meet quality specifications. Monitor and report on QC metrics and identify opportunities for improvement. Claims Management: Develop and oversee the process for managing customer claims related to quality. Ensure that root cause analyses are conducted, corrective actions are implemented, and feedback loops are established to prevent recurrence. Artwork Approval: Collaborate with the design, marketing, and packaging teams to review and approve artwork for compliance with regulatory and internal standards. Ensure that all packaging artwork meets quality, legal, and safety requirements. Process Validations: Lead and coordinate process validation activities to ensure that all products meet defined quality specifications. Document and track validation processes and implement improvements as needed. Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement in QA/QC processes, fostering innovation and efficiency in quality management. Implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to enhance process efficiencies and quality outcomes. Training & Development: Provide training and guidance to plant QA teams on quality standards, certifications, and operational processes. Develop training programs to enhance the overall competency of the quality teams across locations. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as Operations, R&D, Procurement, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment on quality objectives and seamless execution of quality initiatives. Act as the main liaison between the corporate office and plant-level QA teams. Compliance & Audits: Ensure all plants comply with internal and external regulatory standards, including health and safety guidelines. Lead and coordinate internal and external quality audits, ensuring timely resolution of any findings. Key Requirements: Educational Qualification: Bachelors/Masters degree, Quality Management, or a related field. Experience: Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control, with a focus on plant management and corporate-level oversight. Certifications: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Six Sigma, or other relevant certifications preferred. Skills: In-depth knowledge of quality systems, standards, and compliance requirements. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to drive corrective and preventive actions. Proficiency in QA tools, data analysis, and quality management software. Preferred Attributes: Prior experience in a multi-plant, corporate QA role. Expertise in managing ISO certifications and external audits. Strong background in process validation, quality metrics, and customer claims handling. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.,
