- Software Engineering Associate Director Position Overview: Were looking for a software engineering leader that will be responsible for leading a software engineering organization within Provider Technology in our Hyderabad Center to deliver on strategic business capabilities as well as modernize the current solution. You will work in an agile environment leading a team of software engineers and managers, delivering user-oriented products in a fastpaced environment. The resources aligned to this leader will dotted line into our US based engineering leads. This role will report to the VP Provider Technology. Responsibilities: Establish/oversee engineering principles / standards and preferred technology stack that promote modularity, configurability, reusability, reliability, and telemetry. Establish and maintain product / asset roadmaps with a focus on technology currency, environment simplification, business value, and return on investment. Establish and maintain business relationships to ensure alignment and product vision. Develop and manage team labor strategy Hire and retain strong software engineering talent. Develop existing talent into full stack engineers. Inspire engineering teams to take risks and manage them. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Understand Cigna's strategic and competitive position striving to tie team efforts to the same. Be Provider Technologys face in our Hyderabad location and an escalation point for all local issues Provide input on the correct technology options to strategically deliver business value. Select and manage technical and product vendors. Provide direction regarding technical requirements. Find opportunities to drive modernization and scalability of tools, technologies, and techniques. Enforce modern delivery practices such as continuous integration, behavior/test-driven development. Responsible for the agile operational excellence of their team members. Required Skills: Ability to operate at the big picture/strategic level. Positive, growth-oriented, calm mindset. Ability to manage teams of teams and work in a heavily matrix environment. Proven complex problem-solving skills, working with ambiguity, with an open mind. Collaborative voice for solution integrity utilizing best practices and industry standards. Technical and marketing skills to craft and execute initiatives. Robust product management skills and inspiration for engineering teams. Required Experience & Education: 16+ years of professional experience. 8+ years of management experience. Hands on experience engineering/developing modern on-prem/cloud solutions. Familiarity with modern and legacy development languages. Experience with on-prem and/or cloud platform solutions. Experience with CI/CD tooling. Experience with Agile.,
