Websitehttps://www.farmerp.com;https://www.shivrai.co.in Roles and Responsibilities As the VP Engineering for our SaaS-based ERP product, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical direction of the company and driving the development of industry-leading solutions that meet the needs of our customers. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of engineering operations, including product development, technical strategy, and team management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of scalable, reliable, and innovative software solutions that drive customer satisfaction and business growth. Technical Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and vision for the engineering team, driving the development of scalable, reliable, and high-performance SaaS ERP solutions that meet the needs of our customers. Product Development: Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from conceptualization to delivery, ensuring that products are developed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Technical Strategy: Develop and execute a technical roadmap that aligns with the company's business goals and product vision, identifying key areas for innovation and differentiation in the competitive marketplace. Team Management: Recruit, mentor, and manage a diverse team of software engineers, architects, and technical leaders, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product management, design, sales, and customer success teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and drive alignment across the organization. Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain processes for ensuring the quality and reliability of our SaaS ERP product, including implementing best practices for testing, code reviews, and deployment. Scalability and Performance: Architect and optimize our software systems for scalability, performance, and resilience, ensuring that our platform can support the needs of our growing customer base. Security and Compliance: Implement robust security measures and compliance controls to protect customer data and ensure regulatory compliance in accordance with industry standards and best practices. Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to enhance our development process and drive innovation. Stakeholder Communication: Keep executive leadership, board members, and other stakeholders informed about engineering progress, challenges, and opportunities, providing regular updates and insights. Requirements Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. 15 years of experience in engineering leadership roles, with a proven track record of successfully leading and scaling high-performance engineering teams in the development of SaaS-based products. AI /ML/IoT and legacy ERP systems integration experience is must. Deep technical expertise in cloud technologies, distributed systems, and enterprise software development, with a strong understanding of ERP concepts and architectures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges and drive solutions that deliver business value. Experience working with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices. Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and lead teams through periods of growth and change.
